PT. SADP is a subsidiary of Wilmar Group Indonesia, one of the largest agribusiness companies in the world. Founded in 1999, the company provides high-quality single and compound fertilizers with various balanced nutrient combinations for food crops, horticulture, and plantations under the brand Pupuk Mahkota.
In the early stages of its business development, PT Sentana Adidaya Pratama (SADP) imported and distributed fertilizers at competitive prices to meet the increasing demand from the plantation and agricultural sectors, especially palm oil plantations, such as single fertilizers (straight fertilizers) like KCl (potassium chloride) and Rock Phosphate fertilizers.
As the demand for Pupuk Mahkota increased, particularly for NPK fertilizers (compound fertilizers), and with the growing knowledge of plantation users regarding effective and efficient fertilization management, PT SADP seized this opportunity by establishing its own NPK production plant (steam granulation) at a strategic location in the Dumai Industrial Estate (industrial zone) in Pelintung, Riau, and in Gresik, East Java. To date, PT SADP has six NPK fertilizer plants with a capacity of over 1.2 million MT per year.
Since 2015, to comply with new regulations from the Indonesian government separating producers from importers, PT Wilmar Chemical Indonesia (PT WCI) was established as the importing company.
In 2021, PT Agri Hikay Indonesia (PT AHI) and PT Agri Indomas (PT AI) were acquired as part of the fertilizer division. PT AHI has a production plant in Gresik, while PT AI is in Palembang, and the Hikay-Plus and Bunga Merah brands are also now part of the fertilizer division.
Being a producer of high-quality fertilizers is a commitment from PT SADP, PT WCI, PT AHI, and PT AI as part of their active role in supporting optimal and sustainable agricultural production to improve food security and contribute to the economic development of Indonesia.
